Timebomb Pictures is the production company of Award Winning Actor/Director/Producer Dan Poole.
I began playing with cameras at the age of 5 secretly using the family Super 8 to shoot the occasional horror with my ever-generous sisters. So a life long love affair with the camera began. A decade later I was offered a position as a trainee animator at Walt Disney studios in Burbank, USA, a position I consequently turned down in favour of a career in front of the camera. I graduated as an actor from Mountview Theatre School in 1998, and since then I have trained as a camera operator, studying lighting, sound and post-production in between acting work.
In 2013 I released the award winning documentary, Muse of Fire, which was written, directed and produced by myself and Giles Terera. It was aired on the BBC TV and at film festivals throughout the world, receiving critical acclaim. My second documentary feature, The Space Theatre, is currently in post production and set for release in autumn 2017.
In addition to my own documentaries, shorts and features, I've worked and collaborated on a broad range of projects. From broadcast documentary, music videos and TVC’s through to content for global broadcast television shows, my small company continues to pull in interesting work and contracts.
I am fluent in all streams of pre and post-production, and this has enabled me to deliver work on a budget that is not normally possible, and furthermore understand all aspects of production and delivery. I have great relationships with all industry leaders, from Technicolor through to Dolby and everyone in between.
